Allison jokingly refers to herself as the accidental entrepreneur. She first discovered blogging and Twitter in 2007 and her life was never the same. Channeling her passion for Social Media, Blogging and community, she built a media conglomerate all based on one tenet; Bringing Good Things to Women. Blissfully Domestic Publishing, BlissDom Conferences, and Blissful Media Group all work to promote positive things for women. Allison is a dynamic consultant who specializes in advising social media strategy and development of innovative promotional campaigns. She is often seen herding her five boys around town and staring lovingly at her iPhone.

Catherine is a mother, writer and recovering academic who recently contributed to Canada’s brain drain by relocating to New York City. She’s the Director of Community and Social Good at Babble, the author of HerBadMother.com and a freelance writer who writes, sometimes, about surviving motherhood, sometimes about surviving womanhood, sometimes about trying to make the world a better place, and more often than not about her belief that bad is, really, the new good. (She really does believe that bad is the new good. She wrote a Manifesto. She’s that committed.)

After being teased in High School for being a Social Butterfly and told it wouldn’t take her very far in life, she fell into the serious world of banking and for 17 years she was cooped up & bored. In the fall of 2007 she packed up her business suits & sensible shoes to be a stay-at-home mom.
Shannon started blogging in 2006 and as the late-bloomer she is, she didn’t join Facebook until 2007. She “dabbled” in social media enough to cause some people to worry about her growing addiction.
Blogging went from hobby to a passion to a career in 2009 when a marketing company noticed her and snatched her up to lead their Social Media Marketing department.
Her Chrysalis moment came in 2010 when she decided to dive into the Twitter-craze — suddenly her Social Butterfly was again unleashed.
To the High School teachers who thought {and said} I wouldn’t amount to much, I just have one thing to say…. How do you like me now?!
Shannon is mom to 3 boys & 1 girl. Her and her husband of 15 years lead a crazy awesome church in Kitchener, Ontario.

Shannon McKarney – @zchamu
Shannon is an Ottawa mom-of-one, writer, wife, beagle owner and all-round chum. She originally came from Nova Scotia and while she left many years ago, she has not lost the ability to dismember a lobster with her bare hands. She’s regained her senses, and now she’s a full time mama and social media darling.
Shannon writes her personal blog at zchamu.com, writes about social justice at Care2.com, writes about parenting at The Bad Moms Club and about sports at Draft Day Suit. She also does social media consulting during naptimes. If you’re trying to bribe her, bring red wine and dark chocolate.

Amy is a freelance web designer and graphics artist with an array of experience and creative endeavors. In 2006, Amy ‘retired’ from General Motors with 16 years experience in Program Management. She also has an MBA in Global Operations which she completed just in time to have twins and become a stay at home mom.
In 2008 Amy engaged her entrepreneurial spirit and rediscovered passion for writing and designing choosing the new career path of cultural creative instead of returning to the corporate world. Thus, Beyond Creatives was born. Amy enjoys engaging her community at large by holding seminars that help local businesses and groups take their first steps in the world of the internet and social media. She writes… err, uhh, or wrote, about her journey as a single mom at BeyondJEMS (Jacob & Emma’s Mommy). But since joining the BlissDom Events team in 2010, she’s had much less time to do so.
