Fariha Naqvi-Mohamed is born and raised in Montreal. She grew up in Montreal where she is now raising her own family as a Mom of two. Fariha is the editor and founder of CanadianMomEh.com [https://www.canadianmomeh.com], an op-ed columnist with the Montreal Gazette, a columnist for the West Island Gazette, a social media influencer with a highly engaged following, a Huffington Post blogger and the newest member of the City News Montreal team. Fariha will be going behind the scenes into Montreal’s diverse neighbourhoods to bring the stories of Montrealers in a segment entitled Diverse City. City News and Fariha Naqvi-Mohamed are making history as Fariha will be the first woman in history to wear the hijab on Quebec television.
Fariha was also recently awarded the Community Builder Award by the prestigious Canadian Pakistan Affiliated Chamber of Trade (CPACT) for her community work. She also received Recognition Award as a Canadian Woman Making a Positive Difference by Human Concern International at their 38th Annual Charity Gala.
