United Nations Glambassador
Biko Beauttah is the Worlds only United Nations Glambassador. Born and raised in Kenya, Biko moved to Canada in 2006 to seek asylum because being LGBTQ is a crime in her native Kenya.
A champion of refugee and sexual minority rights, she has spread her message of tolerance and equality on various platforms such as; TIFF, The Canadian Council, The Giving Network, BMO Pride, White Privilege Conference, Microsoft, Refugee Pride Convention and was also the first person to give a lecture on gender studies upon the inception of such a course at a high school in Canada.
Biko is currently the face of Nordstrom’s first nationwide campaign- #TrueNord, and sits on The Board of Directors of Pride Toronto and The 519 Community centre.
